Press Release: Aberdein Considine confirmed as one of Scotland’s leading law firms

Press Release: Aberdein Considine confirmed as one of Scotland’s leading law firms

Aberdein Considine has again been named as one of Scotland’s ‘Legal Leaders’ by an influential business magazine.

Each year, Business Insider ranks Scotland’s lawyers based on a number of key metrics.

In 2014, Aberdein Considine broke into the ‘Top 10’ for the first time following its expansion into Perth, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

The new 2015 table has the firm as the eighth largest in the country – and the biggest with Aberdeen headquarters.

Managing Partner Jacqueline Law said: “Our growth – both in terms of geography and areas of specialism – is driven by our desire to deliver high quality legal, property and financial services across the whole of Scotland.

“There is no secret to our success – it’s down to the hard work of our staff, who work tirelessly to help those who place their trust in us.

“Many of our clients see us as an extension to their business, or even their family in some cases, which is exactly what we set out to achieve when we launched in 1981.

“We are different to other lawyers – and we like that.”

Since 2014, Aberdein Considine has expanded into a fifth Scottish city – Stirling – with the acquisition of Muirhead Buchanan.

The firm is also finalising its move into St Vincent Street in Glasgow, where it is opening a major new legal hub.

The expansion has resulted in a number of new Partners joining.

Anthony Quin and Philip Anderson previously ran Muirhead Buchanan and became Partners in Aberdein Considine as part of the merger deal.

Legal 500-listed Paul Jennings has also joined to spearhead the new Glasgow office. He has extensive commercial property experience having worked with a number of high street businesses, including Greggs, Austin Reed, Thomas Sabo, Krispy Kreme and Rox.

The firm has also made a number of senior appointments since the 2014 rankings were announced.

John Perry has joined as Chief Financial Officer from accountancy giant Baker Tilly, while award-winning former business journalist Ryan Crighton is now Director of Marketing.
