HR Adviser

Location - Glasgow

Position Type: Full-time/Part-time/Permanent

Are you an experienced HR Adviser looking for a new opportunity? If so, Aberdein Considine are recruiting for a HR Adviser to join their HR team. The role will be a standalone position based in our Glasgow office and will involve providing support and advice to the Partners and Managers on a range of HR issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruitment & on-boarding
  • Consulting on issues related to workplace relations, training and performance management
  • Manage / oversee grievance, disciplinary and capability investigations and hearings
  • Providing advice and assistance on policies, procedures and legislation
  • Managing payroll
  • Exit interviews
  • Write and present information briefings on a range of HR related topics
  • Producing reports, statistics and completing HR projects as requested by managers / Partners
  • Attend Employment Law meetings / seminars & keep up to date with HR best practice and employment legislation
  • Deal with regulatory requirements in respect of the Law Society of Scotland, Solicitors Regulation Authority and Financial Conduct Authority
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices
  • Branch / office visits

Qualifications

Essential

  • Degree in human resources or a relevant area or CIPD qualification at minimum level 5
  • 3 years+ relevant experience

Desirable

  • Drivers Licence

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Strong knowledge of employment law and legislation
  • Generalist HR experience within an HR environment
  • Experience in providing advice and support to senior managers on strategic matters
  • Experience in leading projects and implementing new initiatives
  • Familiar with all Microsoft Office packages

Knowledge

  • HR policies and procedures
  • Best practice on recruitment and selection
