Aberdein Considine are looking for a talented and ambitious lawyer to join our growing Corporate team based in Aberdeen. The successful candidate will be given autonomy and hands-on client facing experience of transactions from start to finish working closely with the Partners and junior colleagues in the Department to support our clients’ legal requirements. The position will allow the opportunity for career progression for an individual who demonstrates a willingness and ability to maintain good client relationships, work with specialists across the Firm and participate in business development. The successful candidate will enjoy a high level of client and team interaction, personally managing a varied caseload of Corporate work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advising on Corporate transactions
  • Advising on commercial matters such as commercial contracts reviews and drafting a variety of commercial contracts
  • Project management of transactions and matters
  • Drafting main transactional / complex legal documents
  • Correspond / negotiate with clients and other lawyers and professionals
  • Preparing reports and advice notes to clients on terms of legal documents
  • Promoting the department and the Firm through business development
  • Assisting the department to reach their fee targets
  • Mentoring and supervising junior colleagues and assisting in training and development of staff

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS
  • LLB Scots Law & Diploma in Legal Practice

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 4-7 years post qualification experience in a Corporate Department
KNOWLEDGE
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of company law and Corporate transactions
  • Knowledge of the professional services market place
  • Commercial and business awareness
