Major new campaign to help Scottish first time buyers
Aberdein Considine is launching a major new campaign to help young people onto the property ladder.
Between February 1st and April 30th 2016, first time buyers are being given a 50% discount on their legal fees, saving them hundreds of pounds.
A series of special open days will also be held across Scotland, where lawyers, mortgage advisers and property experts will all be on hand to answer any questions potential movers may have, free of charge.
Chris Comfort (pictured), Partner at Aberdein Considine, said the firm is committed to helping so-called 'Generation Rent' into home ownership.
"Buying your first home can be daunting – but it doesn’t have to be with Aberdein Considine," he said.

"And with a 50% discount on legal fee, young buyers have a fantastic opportunity to get on the property ladder for hundreds of pounds less than it would usually cost."
Open days
Open days will take place on the following dates:
- 13th February: Union Street, Aberdeen
- 13th February: Kilmarnock Road, Glasgow
- 27th February: Lothian Road, Edinburgh
- 12th March: High Street, Perth
At each event, buyers will be able to find out what the local property market is like, how much mortgage lenders would be willing to offer and how the Scottish home buying process works.
Chris added: "Interest rates are at their lowest level in living memory, which is good news for buyers as it means the cost of borrowing money is low.
"Our mortgage advisers are not tied to any lender or financial institution, so can give completely impartial advice and find you the best deal possible. There are also a lot of properties on the market at the moment, which is good news for buyers."
