Meet the Glasgow team... Angela Douglas

Meet the Glasgow team... Angela Douglas

At Aberdein Considine, our people are our greatest asset - so every week we are meeting with a different member of the team so you can get to know them better.

In the first of our 'Meet the Team' series, we are getting to know Angela Douglas, a long-standing team member our Glasgow West End team, based on Byres Road.

Angela's story

"I have been with this company for nine years negotiating in the West End (25 years in total….jings!) and truly it has to be described as a passion.

"Each time I have a property which comes to the market I enjoy building rapport with the clients and doing my utmost to achieve the best for them.

"Also on the other side, helping buyers find their dream home and assisting them with regards providing the best advice regarding finance/legal etc – it’s all incredibly satisfying.

"As of last year I was given the role also of deputy manager in the West End to which I LOVE.  I’m incredibly organised and enjoy the tasks/adventure to which this role brings."

Now for the fun bit...

1. What do you like most about working and living in Glasgow/the local area

As I live and work in the West End, I love the people, the vibe and the many different clients/property types we have.

2. What’s your favourite property on the market?

Currently, 15 Highburgh Rd.  Excellent location, lovely interior and so nice to have a small easily managed garden area.

(Here's the link to the property if you fancy having a nosey!)

3. Describe yourself in three words

Positive. Fun. Fairy.

4. What did you want to grow up to be when you were little

When very little, I wanted to be a Mummy…..failed at that one.  Estate Agent!!!  Seriously, when I advised my guidance teacher he laughed.  I think I had watched too many only fools and horses and fancied a Filofax.  Seriously, I loved geography and regeneration of areas within Glasgow and at the time (1989/90) the property market in Glasgow was starting to take off.

5. What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Socialising: Local restaurants, catching up with friends and of course G&T’s.

6. What’s the most important lesson you’ve learnt?

Try to avoid dating apps!

7. Tell us something nobody knows?

Well I can’t because then it wouldn’t be a secret and I’d be gossiping……about myself :)
