At Aberdein Considine, our people are our greatest asset - so every week we are meeting with a different member of the team so you can get to know them better.
Today we're getting to know Stephen Marlin, mortgage adviser based at our flagship branch on Port Street.
"I am the younger (and better looking) of the two Stephen’s based in Stirling.
"It is my role to provide mortgage and protection advice for my clients and I am also qualified to provide advice for equity release.
"I have had a varied career to-date; initially studying law at university before joining Strathclyde Police as a Police Constable. I then pursued a career in the banking sector with Santander before becoming CeMAP qualified."
Having worked in Glasgow city centre in my previous roles, I really enjoy getting away from Glasgow and having the opportunity to work in a more picturesque setting.
Rollock Street, new-build flats.

Committed, determined, ambitious.
A Police Officer, ironically. How wrong was I?!
Socialising with friends, watching a particular Glasgow based football team (I won’t name names).
This is just an excuse for a cliché so I’ll give you one- don’t eat yellow snow.
I, along with 3 other police officer’s, released a charity single in memory of those who lost their lives during the Clutha disaster. We raised over £14,000 for the victims’ families.
