Meet the Glasgow team... Susan Farmer

Today we're getting to know Susan Farmer, Glasgow property market expert based at our Glasgow South branch.

Susan's story

I am the Branch Manager at our Shawlands office and have worked as an Estate Agent for over 20 years with the last 6 years being in Aberdein Considine. 

I am proud to say I was involved in the office opening and establishing the Aberdein Considine Brand and its subsequent success in the competitive Glasgow market.

We are now considered a crucial player - not only within the Southside - but Glasgow as a whole, offering clients the ease and practicality of all services under the one roof: property, legal and financial!

1. What do you like most about working and living in Glasgow?

The people. Every day is unique with different characters, personalities and situations thrown my way - it keeps me on my toes!

2. What's your favourite property on the market?

I still love a traditional tenement with a dining kitchen and full of character, ideally with cornicing and fireplaces. After all these years I still get excited about the response we receive after releasing these properties online and the thought of a first-time buyer taking their first step on to the property ladder! 

However, a Victorian detached house with five bedrooms is not to be sneered at!

3. Describe yourself in three words

Motivated, out-going and happy!

4. What did you want to be when you were little?

An archaeologist.

5. What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Catching up with my favourite people over food and wine after a spot of shopping.

6. What's the most important lesson you've learnt?

You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough!

7. Tell us something nobody knows?

I am a bit of a speed freak... I can do a mean lap in a Go-Kart!
