Five things you probably didn't know about Aberdein Considine...

Aberdein Considine is 37 years old and is Scotland's largest estate and leasing agent but there are still some surprising facts about the firm and its history.

Here are five things you may not know about us:

1) The company is named after the two founders

Aberdein Considine is named after the two founders, not after the city, Aberdeen, like many people assume.

In 1981, the company was launched by two friends, Harvey Aberdein and Iain Considine. The pair, who started their careers with an established Aberdeen firm of solicitors, wanted to change the way lawyers did business with their clients.

2) We have 20 offices across Scotland and North England

Within five years of launching in Aberdeen, the firm was the cities biggest solicitor estate agent.

In 2014, the firm began its expansion into other parts of Scotland and now has eleven offices outwith the north-east, including England, in Newcastle's historic Cloth Market.

3) There's no one 'like' us

Over 36,000 people have liked our property Facebook page, making us the most-like estate agent in the whole of the UK.

4) We do more than just property

5) We work with charities across Scotland

Through charity partnerships, our staff and partners have raised more than £100,000 for good causes in recent years.

This year we are raising money for MND Association through numerous events including a 420 mile sponsored cycle being carried out by one of our Glasgow Partners, Gavin Crowe.
